1. The main uses of OPP films OPP: Oriented polypropylene (film), stretchable polypropylene, is a type of polypropylene. OPP main products: 1. OPP tape: With polypropylene film as the base material, it has the advantages of high tensile strength, light weight, non-toxic and odorless, environmental protection, and a wide range of uses. 2. OPP label: For daily chemical products with relatively saturated and homogenized markets, appearance is everything, and the first impression determines the consumer's purchasing behavior. Shampoo, shower gel, detergent and other products are used in warm and humid bathrooms and kitchens. The label is required to withstand moisture without falling off, and its extrusion resistance must match the bottle body. At the same time, the transparent bottle body has strict requirements on the transparency of the adhesive and label surface material. Compared with paper labels, OPP labels have the advantages of transparency, high strength, moisture resistance, and not easy to fall off. Although the cost has increased, it can get a good label display and use effect. With the development of domestic printing technology and coating technology, the production of self-adhesive film labels and printed film labels is no longer a problem. It can be predicted that the use of OPP labels in China will continue to increase. Since the label itself is made of PP, it can be well combined with the surface of PP/PE containers. Practice has proved that OPP film is the best material for in-mold labels. It has been widely used in the fields of food and daily chemicals in Europe and has gradually spread to China. More and more users are beginning to pay attention to or adopt in-mold labeling technology. 2. The main uses of BOPP film BOPP: biaxially oriented polypropylene film, which is also a type of polypropylene. Commonly used BOPP films include: ordinary biaxially oriented polypropylene film, heat-sealed biaxially oriented polypropylene film, cigarette packaging film, biaxially oriented polypropylene pearlescent film, biaxially oriented polypropylene metallized film, matte film, etc. The main uses of various films are as follows: 1. Uses of ordinary BOPP film: mainly used for printing, bag making, adhesive tape and composite with other substrates. 2. Uses of BOPP heat-sealing film: mainly used for printing, bag making, etc. 3. Uses of BOPP cigarette packaging film: used for high-speed cigarette packaging. 4. Use of BOPP pearlescent film: used for packaging of food and daily necessities after printing. 5. Use of BOPP metallized film: used as a substrate for vacuum metallization, radiation, anti-counterfeiting, and food packaging. 6. Use of BOPP matte film: used for packaging boxes of soap, food, cigarettes, cosmetics, pharmaceutical products, etc. 7. Use of BOPP anti-fog film: used for packaging of vegetables, fruits, sushi, flowers, etc. BOPP film is a very important flexible packaging material and is widely used. BOPP film is colorless, odorless, tasteless, non-toxic, and has high tensile strength, impact strength, rigidity, toughness and good transparency. The surface energy of BOPP film is low, and corona treatment is required before gluing or printing. However, after corona treatment, BOPP film has good printing adaptability and can be printed in color to obtain a beautiful appearance, so it is often used as the surface material of composite film. BOPP film also has shortcomings, such as easy accumulation of static electricity and no heat sealing. On a high-speed production line, BOPP film is prone to static electricity, and a static eliminator needs to be installed. In order to obtain heat-sealable BOPP film, the surface of BOPP film can be coated with heat-sealable resin glue, such as PVDC latex, EVA latex, etc. after corona treatment, or solvent glue can be coated. Heat-sealable BOPP film can also be produced by extrusion coating or co-extrusion lamination. This film is widely used in packaging of bread, clothes, shoes and socks, as well as cover packaging of cigarettes and books. The initiation tear strength of BOPP film increases after stretching, but the secondary tear strength is very low. Therefore, no cuts can be left on both ends of the BOPP film, otherwise the BOPP film is easy to tear during printing and lamination. After BOPP is coated with self-adhesive, sealing tape can be produced, which is a market with large BOPP consumption. BOPP film can be produced by tube film method or flat film method. The properties of BOPP film obtained by different processing methods are also different. BOPP film produced by flat film method has higher strength than tube film method due to its large stretch ratio (up to 8-10), and the uniformity of film thickness is also better. In order to obtain better comprehensive performance, multi-layer lamination method is usually used during use. BOPP can be compounded with a variety of different materials to meet special application needs. For example, BOPP can be compounded with LDPE (CPP), PE, PT, PO, PVA, etc. to obtain high gas barrier, moisture barrier, transparency, high temperature resistance, low temperature resistance, cooking resistance and oil resistance. Different composite films can be used for oily food. 3. Main uses of CPP film CPP: has good transparency, high gloss, good stiffness, good moisture barrier, excellent heat resistance, easy heat sealing and other characteristics. After printing and bag making, CPP film is suitable for: clothing, knitwear and flower packaging bags; document and album films; food packaging; and metallized films suitable for barrier packaging and decoration. Potential uses also include: food outer packaging, candy outer packaging (twist film), pharmaceutical packaging (infusion bag), replacing PVC, synthetic paper, self-adhesive tape, business card holder, ring folder and stand-up bag composite materials in the fields of albums, folders and documents. CPP has excellent heat resistance. Since the softening point of PP is about 140, this type of film can be used in hot filling, retort bags, aseptic packaging and other fields. In addition, its excellent acid, alkali and grease resistance makes it the preferred material for bread product packaging or laminating materials. It is safe for contact with food, has excellent performance, will not affect the flavor of the food inside, and different grades of resin can be selected to obtain the required characteristics.
