FAQ
1
What is the regular thickness?
The regular thickness is 35–70 microns, with common options of 40/45/50/60 microns. If customers have special requirements, it can be customized. The width can also be customized according to customer needs.
2
What is the shrinkage rate?
① Standard shrinkage rate: TD 75%
② Low shrinkage range: TD 47%–53%
③ High shrinkage range: TD 75%–78%
3
What are the applications of PETG?
Beverage labels, food packaging, industrial product packaging, daily chemical packaging.
4
What types of PETG are available?
Currently we offer White / Metallized Silver / Black & White / Transparent.
5
What is the applicable temperature range for PETG?
PETG is very sensitive to temperature and should be stored at 25–35°C. When the temperature exceeds 35°C, deformation and edge curling may occur. Therefore, during transportation and storage, the temperature must be controlled below 35°C.
6
Is PETG environmentally friendly? Is it biodegradable?
PETG film is environmentally friendly and recyclable, but it is not biodegradable.
7
Besides PETG Film, do you also offer other shrink films?
Yes. In addition to PETG Film, we also provide PVC / CPET / RPET / POF / POS films, which can be selected according to customer requirements.
8
Is PETG film suitable for flexographic, gravure, and digital printing?
Yes, PETG film is suitable for all these printing methods.
9
What are the differences among PVC, PETG, CPET, RPET, POF, and POS?
PVC: Good shrinkage performance and low cost, but contains chlorine, is not eco-friendly, difficult to recycle, and produces harmful substances when burned. It is gradually being replaced.
PETG: High transparency, good toughness, suitable for shrink labels and packaging, chlorine-free, eco-friendly, recyclable, greener than PVC.
CPET: Heat-resistant, suitable for oven and microwave food trays, recyclable but with limited recycling systems.
RPET: Made from recycled PET bottles, eco-friendly, recyclable, a key material for sustainable development.
POF: Non-toxic, transparent, good toughness, widely used in shrink packaging, eco-friendly, recyclable, a replacement for PVC shrink film.
POS: Performance depends on the material type; some can be recycled, but generally less eco-friendly than RPET/POF.
Summary:
PVC is not eco-friendly. PETG, RPET, and POF are eco-friendly and recyclable. CPET is recyclable but limited. POS’s eco-friendliness depends on the specific material.
10
What is the MOQ and packaging method?
Our MOQ is 500 kg.
Do you require roll form or sheet form?
Any special requirements for export packaging?
