Traditional screen printing,adhesive stickers and ordinary IML nameplates suffer from single design, no dynamiceffect, easy peeling, poor scratch resistance and serious product homogenization,which can no longer meet the upgraded aesthetic and functional needs ofinternational brands.

Client Project Requirements

In collaboration with an international beverage brand, this project focuses on customized thermochromic color-changing IML labels for new plastic product shells. Key requirements include:

1. Thermochromic Color Change

Support temperature-triggered color change, with different saturated colors at normal temperature and after activation.

2. Seamless IML Integration

Integrated in-mold injection molding without secondary pasting, ensuring a gap-free fit with plastic shells.

3. High Durability

High temperature, scratch, water and friction resistance, meeting daily chemical product weather resistance standards.

4. Uniform Color Transition

Uniform color transition without blurring or dead-angle color differences, suitable for large-scale mass production.

5. Brand Differentiation

Combine product appearance enhancement, brand anti-counterfeiting and market differentiation.

Core Technical Difficulties

Ordinary color-changing films are not suitable for standard IML injection molding due to four key technical barriers.

Low Heat Resistance

Color-changing pigments may fail or fade during high-temperature injection molding.

Poor Layer Compatibility
