BOPP Film ink adhesion test

BOPP Film ink adhesion test

The BOPP Film Ink Adhesion Test is a critical quality control procedure used to assess the ability of ink to adhere to the surface of BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) film. This test ensures that the printed inks will not easily peel or rub off, maintaining the integrity and durability of printed packaging, labels, or other BOPP-based materials.

BOPP Film Ink Adhesion Test

Step 1: Apply adhesive tape firmly onto the metallized paper label.
Step 2: Rub with your finger 10 times, simulating daily friction.
Step 3: Peel off the tape and check the ink adhesion.
Result: The ink remains intact with no peeling!
Conclusion: Strong ink adhesion, ensuring long-lasting and stable print quality.

Low-Quality Metallized Paper (Comparison)

With the same steps, the ink peels off clearly, leaving blank spots or scratches on the surface.
Conclusion: Poor ink adhesion, causing the print to fade easily.
