BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) Film Production Process:
1.Raw Material Feeding:
Polypropylene (PP) resin pellets are fed into the extruder.
2.Extrusion:
The resin is melted and extruded through a flat die to form a thick sheet of film.
3.Casting:
The molten sheet is rapidly cooled on a chill roll to form a solid film.
4.Machine Direction Orientation (MDO):
The film is stretched in the machine direction to align the polymer chains and improve stregth
5.Transverse Direction Orientation (TDO):
The film is then stretched in the transverse direction in a tenter frame to complete biaxial orientation.
6.Heat Setting:The oriented film is heat-set to stabilize its shape, size, and mechanical properties.
7.Surface Treatment:
The film undergoes corona or flame treatment to enhance surface energy for printing or lamination.
8.Slitting and Rewinding:
The finished film is slit into required widths and rewound into rolls for packaging and shipment.
This process ensures the BOPP film has excellent clarity, strength, moisture resistance, and printability for various packaging applications.
